Hackathons encourage innovation and are a growing collaborative trend in business. Companies give problems to potential solution providers and over the course of a fun filled week or weekend, many new ideas can be hatched.
Our guest on this show is Trey Steinhoff, Board Member of the Tampa Bay Hackathon. This event is being held on the weekend of the 25th of August 2017 in St. Petersburg, Florida at the Station House located at 260 1st Ave South. This event will pair the hospitality industry with tech providers. Hospitality companies will offer their problems to a variety of technology teams and over the course of a fun filled 3 day weekend, the technology groups will work to find a solution to their problem. Every participants will receive 7 meals, caffeine, alcohol, swag, t-shirt and a chance to bring home the $3,000 cash prize which is being sponsored by Sourcetoad.
The Tampa Bay Hackathon is an event series hosted by the 501c3 Startup Tampa Bay. Startup Tampa Bay hosts events designed to empower and inspire our community, namely, Startup Weekend Tampa Bay, Startup Weekend Youth, Tampa Bay Startup Week, Tampa Bay Hackathon, Startup Socials, and various workshops.
