At the 8AM segment, Jamie Meloni and Kelly Wilson welcomed Dave Dockery on the #MorningAir! Dave Dockery or Doc was in the computer industry and the cell phone industry for many years. He has been elected president of the 600 member Tampa Bay Computer Society for 17 years. He is now retired, and spends his time speaking about technology and the future to a variety of civic organizations. He does a tech seminar each Monday afternoon at the Palm Harbor Library. The Tampa Bay Computer Society produces over 50 technical seminars each month for their members, and their main claim to fame is that, for a $50 yearly membership, they repair our members’ computers for free. The club holds 2 “Random Acts of Kindness Free Computer Clinics” each year. It so happens that they are holding one this coming Saturday, October 29th from 9am-2pm. They’ll have 4 free seminars, in which they will fix some of their community’s computers, and they even provide you lunch, all for free! Go to www.tampa-bay.org for more info.
Our last guest on the #MorningAir was Jim Pello, Agency Owner of Brightway Insurance. Jim has lifelong ties to the Tampa Bay area. He started in the insurance industry shortly after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Central Florida in Orlando. He has extensive experience in all areas of the industry, including products, customer relations, marketing, sales and business development. In addition to owning and running an agency, Jim has been active in his community serving as a past President of his condominium association’s board of directors. As the leader of this nonprofit organization under Florida statutes, he oversaw the operations of an association with 232 unit owners and an annual budget of $1 million. The discussion with Health Insurance was quite robust and very informative.
