Our 8am guest was Marcella Espinosa, Marketing Consultant with Entravision, a television network for the Hispanic culture. She was in studio today to talk about ways to reach the Hispanic market as a business professional because this is a target market for many but the differences in culture make it a challenge to reach effectively for some business owners. Entravision is the Tampa market affiliate for Univision which is based in Miami, Florida and their reach encompasses millions of Hispanic listeners and viewers each month. Marcella and Jamie discuss some of the cultural business differences that exist between traditional Americans and Hispanics highlighting how Hispanics value a strong personal relationship over traditional business dealings. They are drawn to those they can connect with on a personal level which makes some traditional American business professionals weary and uncomfortable and it is for this reason that many professionals fail to make connections with that audience. Jamie and Marcellla share a light hearted conversation on the Spanish novellas that are central to Spanish television and how you rarely see a Spanish woman on television that is dressed down, especially on the novellas. Marcella is an art lover and a recent implant into the Tampa region and is looking to grow and network with other business professionals to help them reach the Spanish market. Reach out to her today via email at firstname.lastname@example.org and learn more about them at www.entravision.com!
